Friday:
Noon Bikram (public) - the good ‘ol classic 90 minute hot 26 & 2 class
5pm Inversions workshop - While this class is technically for all levels, we will be focusing on ways to condition the wrists and shoulders for balance and the hips and pelvis for pressing up. We will progressively work up to a number of inversions that ask you to balance on your hands, forearms, and head. There will always be something to do no matter what your level of practice may be.
Saturday:
10:30 - 12:30 Bikram Workshop - There are numerous themes that weave through the 26 and 2 class. In this workshop, we will be building an understanding around these themes and concepts, applying them throughout the class, and breaking down the poses that best exemplify them. Throughout our time together, we will refine the relationship between the body and the postures to build longevity to your practice.
3 pm - 5 pm Ayurveda and the Subtle Body - Ayurveda, or the science of life, is an ancient method of living and healing meant to extend our lives and fill them with bliss. This is done through knowledge of the seasons, elements, foods, herbs, and practices that align us with nature and bring us into higher states of consciousness. This workshop will be half lecture half movement that together will help you take control of your own health.
Sunday:
9 am - 11 am Backbends - This all leveled workshop will systematically prepares the spine for a variety of backhanding positions as well as provide helpful techniques for maintaining or creating health for the spine.
1 pm - 3 pm Hips Splits and Twists - Joint rotation is an important tool for restoring health, strength, and range of motion at a deep level throughout the body. In the hips, splits, and twists class, we work to create mobility through hatha yoga and functional range conditioning techniques meant to increase strength and flexibility for the hips and spine.
